What is HUES: Designers of Color?
HUES: Designers of Color is an organization created to provide resources and services to support the needs of African American, Asian, Latino, Hispanic, Native American, Multiracial, and other minority designers, artists, and creatives.

What are the goals of HUES?

• Provide a supportive and resourceful online community for designers of color.
• Strengthen networking and communication among designers of color.
• Increase demand and job opportunities for people of color in creative industries.
• Encourage designers of color to become entrepreneurs.
• Spotlight achievements and excellence of designers of color.
• Increase media coverage focusing on designers of color.
• Become recognized as the leading national network of design professionals of color
• Create a self-sustaining organization for designers of color.

Is HUES a nonprofit organization?

While HUES: Designers of Color, is not a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, we are a not-for-profit organization.

If HUES is a “not-for-profit”, how can the organization afford to maintain?

Through our HUES meetup groups we are a self-sustainable organization. We plan to cover any additional organization costs through grants, advertising revenue, and donations.

What is the HUES community?

Our community and network is the foundation of our organization. Our ning site will be the network bringing together members of the HUES Meetup groups and other designers of color from around the world.

Does HUES have a general mailing list?
